These days anyone interested in nutrition has used or heard of online weight loss journal programs. Or maybe you haven't, and not sure where to look?
Online journaling has taken off, so to speak, and offers an easy way for most people to keep track of their nutrition programs and goals. There are many to choose from, and some are free while others charge a fee.
Why use an online weight loss journal program
Are you debating on using an online weight loss journal? Here are some reasons to give it a try if you are.
An online weight loss journal already has the macronutrient breakdowns of each food. This saves time since you won't spend hours reading or copying labels. A weight loss journal program also keeps track of the emotional journey.
It is a great tool if you have a trainer, nutritionist or life coach, also. The journal can be reviewed each week, and used as a tool for feedback.
These online journals provide weight loss tools for users, as well. Articles, diet plans, phone apps, resources, support and member forums are available.
Phone apps for online journal programs
Weight loss journal programs have popular phone apps. Apps offer several benefits one of which includes acting as a bar code scanner for custom foods not listed. This also saves time, and reduces human error from copying labels.
Another app example is LoseIt!. It was developed for the iPhone to help people manage their weight loss and health goals in 2008. It is available online, as well.
Are the journal programs free?
Another reason to use an online weight loss program is because several are free of charge.
Others like Weight Watchers charges a fee, while programs like Fitday are free, but offer upgrades that you'll have to pay for.
The choice to purchase an upgrade is certainly up the person using the program, but be sure the program does what you need beforehand.
